How long is a Massage?
Depending on which massage you have a session will take approximately from ½ hour up to 1 hour 15 minutes.

What can I expect from a massage session?
First a consultation is taken of your health history which includes medical conditions, areas of concern, level of pain or discomfort, contact information. Be honest with the massage therapist about your health knowing your history allows a therapist to determine if there are any reasons you should avoid massage or a particular technique. You will then be ask to undress and lie on a massage table, covered by a large towel.
What if I am embarrassed about my body?
Massage therapists are professionals who are sensitive to possible client issues and are non-judgmental about your body weight, amount of hair, skin conditions, scars, disabilities, medical conditions, or personal history of trauma.
How often should I have a massage?
“Some is better than none.”
What does that mean? Well, it varies from person to person. If you are just looking for some occasional relaxation, then a session every 3-6 weeks may be fine for you.
However, if you are looking to address a specific condition, then it is recommended to go more frequently at first and then slowly taper down to a maintenance schedule. Sometimes more frequent 30-minute sessions can be effective until your goals are met and a maintenance schedule is in place.
Frequency of sessions should be discussed with your massage therapist after your treatment when she has a better hands-on understanding of your particular muscular issues.
Once massage has been completed you may experience some reactions, which could include nausea, thirst, dizziness or headaches. Please don’t worry this is all natural and is referred to as the healing crisis, where the body briefly declines before getting better.
To feel the full benefit you are recommended to drink plenty of water as this will assist to flush toxins from the body. It is best to avoid alcohol as this dehydrates the body. Eat light meals and relax, avoid any strenuous activities at least for 24 hours. After an aromatherapy massage it’s best to avoid bathing this is to allow the essential oils to take full effect.
